HERE'S WHAT OUR ATTENDEES SAID
Last month I attended Memories Mentoring, a newborn workshop in Manchester ran by three of the loveliest girls in the industry, Maddy, Ellie and Shellie.
Having followed their work and chatted with them on the forums for over a year now, I knew the course would be an amazingly well organised and informative day and my word I wasn't disappointed. The '3 amigos' of the newborn photography world shared not only their business knowledge with us but also anything else we wanted to know or learn, they openly shared their experience, tips and most of all we just had a good old laugh to boot.
Many subjects were covered on the day from equipment and scene setup, props, space and lighting, greeting the clients, calming and posing babies safely...as the girls themselves said 'safety is always paramount to the shot'. They also ran through the photo session schedule itself , online and offline marketing, SEO and advertising and to end the day Ellie conducted an extensive editing session, which was full of brilliant tips and tricks (including how to use the actions she created for the workshop group!).
All 3 ladies are so open, lovely and clearly passionate about their work, most of all it was great to see them in action and also allowing us to get involved with many of the babies and setup, it was a no questions barred and really relaxed day ...absolutely brilliant.
I would most certainly recommend anybody wanting to learn more about newborn photography to attend, you will leave not only amazingly inspired with a camera full of fabulous images...but with the most awesome goodie bag too, I felt very spoilt! Victoria Kemp
I just wanted to say a massive thank you for the newborn posing class today! Your professionalism and passion shone through as you skillfully guided us through the day. WOW......I attended the Manchester course with the 3 ladies...MADDY, ELLIE & SHELLIE... these ladies are like CHARLIE'S ANGELS... in the photography world... The course was 100% outstanding..they shared business knowledge, day to day shoot knowledge, and anything else we wanted to know they openly shared their experience .. from greeting the babies parents , setting up, the poses, the calming of the baby, the shoot, editing, ,marketing ,,,everything was covered. lots of health and safety info for baby during the shoot...and all 3 ladies are so friendly and great personalities..... and the goody bag was AMAZING.... !!!!!!! never expected that at all.... i would recommend anybody to attend a workshop with the 3 ladies...i would love to do another one....xx many many thanks Sharon
This was the first time I had done a photography workshop and I have to say I was really impressed. Maddy, Elli and Shellie were extremely generous with their knowledge regarding all aspects of their businesses, there was nothing we asked that they weren't willing and able to answer and the advice was invaluable. There was lots of opportunities to take photo's with several setups on the go at once, it would have been nice to be a little more hands on but obviously with such small babies that can't always be possible. As for the goodies bags, they were amazing !! We were like a group of kids on Christmas morning, unwrapping our presents and oohing and aahing over them 
And just to prove how valuable the workshop was, I attended never having done a newborn shoot and using the knowledge gained on the day and less than a week later I have my first two bookings !! - Janet
