Shellie Wall Bio

I started my own business in 2009, after catching the photography bug a few years before.

I ran a very successful business photographing weddings, glamour and covering events… But photographing children and newborns was where my passion lay, so I decided to start specialising in child and newborn photography.

Without a doubt, newborn is my favourite age to photograph. My best days with my camera, are the days that I get to photograph a fresh newborn. This age can be the most difficult to photograph. Capturing their tiny features, fluffy hair, and all that is new about them.

I have had a lot of experience with newborns having photographed well over a 100 now. I am confident in soothing and posing with safety in mind, having 3 children of my own as well as a childcare, nursing career background then training as a breastfeeding counsellor.

I have my own studio and use a variety of set ups using studio lighting and natural lighting, which will be of benefit in the workshop.
The kit I use is a Canon 5D MKII, and my old faithful 50mm f/1.2 for newborn sessions and 24-105mm f/4 for studio use.
